IE6’s Funeral: Microsoft Sends Flower


Internet Explorer 6, one of the famous resident of the internet browser for over 9 years, died the morning of March 1, 2010 in Mountain View, California, as a result of a workplace injury sustained at the headquarters of Google, Inc. Internet Explorer 6, known to friends and family as “IE6,” is survived by son Internet Explorer 7, grand-daughter Internet Explorer 8 and expected new member Internet Explorer 9.

Mourners who were unable to attend were asked to send sacred flowers, and Redmond’s Internet Explorer team was among those who did so…

It has to be noted that Internet Explorer 6 serves 9 years to the internet community and continues to drive nearly 20 per cent of all web access from beyond the grave…
