"Adobe is pleased to announce at the Adobe MAX 2010 conference the availability of Adobe AIR 2.5 for televisions, tablets, smartphones and desktop operating systems," Adobe announced on its AIR Team blog.
Adobe® AIR™, formerly code-named Apollo, is a cross-operating system runtime that allows developers use their existing web development skills in HTML, AJAX, Flash and Flex to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.
Adobe® AIR™ is making life easier for many developers and now goes further, offering support for TVs, smartphones, smartbooks, tablets, netbooks, and PCs.
Adobe® AIR™ 2.5, includes Flash Player 10.1 technology which supports accelerometers, multi-touch screens, cameras, microphones, GPS data and hardware acceleration. In addition to AIR 2.5, Adobe has also launched Adobe InMarket on Oct. 25, 2010. Adobe InMarket is a new service that allows developers to easily distribute and sell their applications across various platforms and devices that are enabled by Adobe AIR.
Adobe InMarket operates seamlessly in the background and allows users to download applications directly from the app store. For more information about the Adobe InMarket, kindly visit www.adobe.com/go/inmarket.
